Start your engines! There’s a new go kart race track & it’s inside an Ontario mall

Have a need for speed? K1 Speed Canada has unveiled its latest high-octane adventure right in Ontario’s Waterloo region. Cambridge Centre Mall is home to the newest state-of-the-art, all-electric go karting race track, promising a mix of speed and excitement.

This is the third K1 Speed location in Canada, through a partnership with Bingemans Hospitality. The team aims to redefine the landscape of leisure and fun in the area, setting a new standard for high-speed entertainment.

“With our cutting-edge go-karts, exhilarating track, and customized events, we’re excited to establish ourselves as the premier hub for adrenaline enthusiasts in the Waterloo Region,” said Daniel Zychlinski, President of K1 Speed Canada.

“We’re thrilled to open our doors and become an integral part of the Cambridge community.”

K1 Speed Cambridge isn’t just any go-karting track. It introduces racers to a thrilling layout featuring a bridge section, along with both vertical and horizontal elements, according to the company.

And not to mention, K1 Speed Cambridge is powered by an all-electric fleet of karts, which minimizes noise and exhaust fumes but provides a powerful performance, capable of reaching speeds up to 45 km/h for adults and 30 km/h for younger racers.

Want to watch all the action? There’s a second-floor mezzainine that provides panoramic views of the races below, allowing guests to soak in the action from a unique vantage point.

Indulge in food and drinks at the Paddock Lounge and enjoy arcade gaming too. Private rooms for parties and special occasions are also available.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time racer, the newest track in Cambridge will give you all the thrills.
