You can enjoy by-donation live concerts all summer long in Edmonton

If you’re hoping to add an extra dash of summer fun to your schedule, we’ve got just the idea in mind. The Backyard in Edmonton is once more hosting by-donation concerts all season long, and things are already underway. Here’s what to know about the series.

Originally kicking off during the pandemic, For The Love of Downtown has become a practically non stop showcase of musicians from Edmonton and around Alberta. Every Thursday, The Backyard hosts a live concert, and often multiple of them, for anyone to come check out!

In addition to the concerts, The Backyard also gets a local restaurant or vendor to offer a little food each week as well! This week, for example, features a pop-up from Guru Kitchen + Bar, and there are about a half dozen more names joining in on the fun.

So, how does one check it out? By donating! Two Edmonton-based charities have been chosen to get the help- -Boyle Street Community Services and Edmonton’s Food Bank. There’s no minimum donation required, so bring whatever you can afford and get ready for some fun!
