The actual SCREAM house is turning into an Airbnb for Halloween this year

Airbnb has been on an absolute roll when it comes to finding (or making) incredible spots to kick back and relax for the night. Although, we doubt you’ll feel very relaxed during your stay in the iconic house from the genre-bending horror movie SCREAM. What’s more, it’s kept all of its 90s horror movie glory.

A little recap before we show off the stay. Directed by Wes Craven (A Nightmare on Elm Street), SCREAM’s cool and at times humourous plot was arguably the first ‘meta’ horror movie. As the teenage characters face off against Ghostface, the audience is treated to near-nonstop inside jokes, references, and self-aware humor.

And, it was in and around this Northern California home that it came to a bloody climax. Ever the sticklers for authenticity, Airbnb has retrofitted the home to be almost exactly like the movie, from knife marks in doors to Woodsboro High gear and even a real-life VCR! Talk about a flashback.

This isn’t just a place to sleep either- it’s a full-on experience. The lucky few who get to stay in the SCREAM house will be treated to a (virtual) welcome from Sheriff Dewey Riley (David Arquette), all the 90s snacks they can eat, and the chance to use that VCR for a SCREAM movie marathon. Of course, the experience wouldn’t be complete without a couple of calls, so a dedicated phone line has been set up for you to call (or get a call from) Ghostface themself. Spooky!

Ready to book your stay? Mark your calendars because you can request to book this spooky stay beginning Tuesday, October 12, at 1 p.m. EDT. But keep in mind this is an extremely limited experience. That being said if you’re not one of the lucky few you will be able to enjoy an online experience on Thursday, October 28th from SCREAM’s executive producer Kevin Williamson.
