The Thai Poutine craze is about to sweep Canada and here’s how to try one

Fusion food lovers, it’s time to get excited, because Thaï Express is bringing its signature flavours to Canada’s national dish — the poutine.

Yep, that’s right, it’s poutine with a Thai twist!

This new, limited-time menu promises a whole new level of deliciousness, offering different combinations that’ll have you craving your next bite before you even finish the first.

Intrigued? You should be! There’s just something about taking the best of two worlds and mixing them together to create a flavour-packed, unforgettable dish — and what’s more unforgettable than Thai Poutine?

Spice up your poutine

First up is the classic Thai Poutine. Think crispy, wok-tossed fries with a bold Thai flair smothered with savoury lemongrass beef stir-fry, Quebec cheese curds, and a rich gravy. It’s the perfect blend of flavours and textures that will have you coming back for seconds (or thirds – no judgment here).

Craving some heat? For the spice lovers out there, The Thairacha Poutine kicks things up a notch by pairing fries with Thai Express’s General Thairacha stir-fry and seasonal vegetables, and topping it with Quebec cheese curds and signature gravy. It’s a fiery delight that’ll get your taste buds buzzing!

But that’s not all, you’ll also be snacking happy with the new Spice Bags. Dig into some Spice Fries, which are covered in a special blend of signature Thai spices and herbs, and pair them with crispy, tender spiced wings or tasty PopBok (that’s popcorn chicken for the uninitiated).

Blending Thai and Canadian cuisine

The first ever Thaï Express was opened in downtown Montreal back in 1999, with a vision to bring delicious Thai food to North America. Now, the restaurant chain is paying homage to the town where it got its start with these exciting new creations.

Feeling hungry? Thaï Express’s new limited-time menu items are now available at your nearest location, or by placing an order now.

And while you’re at it, why not become a Thaï Express Rewards member? You’ll get exclusive offers and earn points for every purchase made in-store, online, or via the Thaï Express app, plus you’ll earn one point for every $1 spent.

For every 75 points earned, you’ll automatically get $5 off your next purchase and  $10 off on your birthday to use toward your favourite items.

Bon appétit!
