Tell your frontline friends! Alberta designer launches line of fashion-forward scrubs

Times have changed and so has fashion, that’s why Calgary designer, Nina Kharey, has shifted her focus! In order to help front line workers feel and look their best, Kharey has started a new line of luxury scrubs called Folds Wear.

Structured and made with beautiful fabrics, the Calgarian’s original line, House of Nonie, has temporarily taken a back seat to her new make a difference collection.

Like House of Nonie, these pieces are also made to flatter and fit, making those who have been working incredibly hard feel more confident and comfortable despite those long stressful days at the hospital.

In addition to serving looks, they also serve function and practicality. Folds Wear is made with post-consumer plastic and is antiviral, antimicrobial, antibacterial, and is anything but drab. But wait, there’s more!

All fabric has 4-way stretch, is self-cooling, moisture-wicking and there’s a place for every instrument imaginable. Lastly, they also come in men’s and women’s sizes, different styles, and are affordable, with items starting at $65.

Really, the only negative thing we can say about Folds Wear is that they’re currently sold-out but at its core, that’s just a testament to how incredible they are.

If anyone deserves evolution, it’s our nurses and doctors, folks. They work far too hard not to have a uniform that doesn’t work for them! Although this definitely won’t solve any of their current problems, we hope that this will make them feel a little more like queens and kings that they are.

Never underestimate the power of a good pair of pants!
