The Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site in Peterborough is home to these cozy pods, each one claiming its own serviced campsite tucked into an enchanting pocket of tree line. Sleep under a canopy of stars and take in the sounds and sights of nature.

Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site has 5 pods available – 3 along Lock 9 and 2 along Lock 10.

These pods are perfect for relaxing, featuring an interior area of 64.5 sq ft, a convertible table/bed sleeping 2 adults with cushions provided, a suspended hammock loft (up to a maximum weight of 100 kg/220 lbs), a solar-powered USB outlet with 2 port and a battery-powered lamp.

Outside of your pod at your campsite, you’ll find a lockable food storage bin, a food preparation shelter with a picnic table, BBQ, propane, cooking tools, a fire pit and 2 deck chairs.

Not sure what to bring? Parks Canada has a list of recommended items to bring along with you to the Ôasis pods!

  • Bedding and pillow
  • Flashlight, lantern or headlamp
  • Personal gear: clothing, accessories, toiletries and slippers or indoor shoes
  • Personal safety items: whistle, first aid kit, sunscreen and bug repellant
  • Cooking equipment, food and drinks, reusable water bottles, etc.
  • Entertainment items (i.e. binoculars, books, cards or sporting equipment, etc.)
