10 fun things to do this week in Edmonton (June 15-19)

It’s time for another week of the best things to do in Edmonton, all right here for your convenience.

Whether you’re into escape rooms or games, relaxing outdoor activities, or bumping concerts, there’s the whole spectrum available this week. No matter what’s on the agenda, you’re definitely going to have a couple of things to add to your calendar after you read through these awesome events.

When Shadows Lie

If you’re familiar with Fort Edmonton Park‘s Where Dark Things Dwell, its highly anticipated sequel has just arrived.

Teams of four will work together in this escape “room” experience to solve puzzles, uncover clues, and complete challenges throughout the park’s 1885 Street, racing to break a mysterious curse before time runs out.

When: Now until Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026

Forest Bathing with Edmonton and Area Land Trust

Feeling rundown or stressed? Forest bathing focuses on improving your physical and mental health through thoughtful interactions within Edmonton’s urban forest.

When: Tuesday, June 16, 2026
Time: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Larch Sanctuary — May Link NW, Edmonton, Alta.

Kick off the summer at Blatchford’s community celebration this June 20th! Come see — and be surprised by — how much Blatchford has grown at this free annual event.

You’ll savour BBQ eats and ice cream treats in Littlewood Park, enjoy live music, face painting, and more – all while getting to know this thriving new urban village. Grab a map and take a self-guided walking tour through the community’s green spaces, pedestrian streets, paths, trails and playgrounds. You can explore showhomes and talk to builders, as well as explore in-community amenities and learn what’s upcoming, including options for buying or renting.

This is a free event, and everyone is welcome – including those four-legged friends who might like to take their paws for a test run in Blatchford’s new “Bark Park.”

Salsa in the Square

Salsa in the Square is a program running every Wednesday in Churchill Square, thanks to ETOWN SALSA and the Edmonton Arts Council. From 6 to 8 p.m. daily, you’ll get a free class where you’ll learn basic moves for different Latin dances.

When: Every Wednesday until June 24, 2026

Free Open Mic Comedy

Every week on Wednesdays, The Grindstone hosts one of Edmonton’s only stand-up comedy open mic nights. Open to both first-timers and seasoned comics, each set is five minutes for some good laughs.

Time: 10 p.m. to midnight

Salisbury Farmers Market

Located at Salisbury Greenhouse in Sherwood Park, this market comes around every Thursday, no matter rain or shine. You can find a wide variety of offerings here, no matter if it’s food, trinkets, or something entirely different.

Street Car Cask

All aboard the High-Level Streetcar for the Street Car Cask series, where folks hop aboard the historic streetcar and take sips from exclusive brews — made just for these trips. As you experience a scenic ride above Edmonton, you’ll be able to enjoy the brews from Alberta’s finest.

Game Con Canada

This all-ages convention is returning this June for more action. Whether it be video games, board games, TTRPGs, or something entirely different, this expo is sure to have everything you could possibly be looking for. It doesn’t matter if you’re seated and watching the main stage or gaming at one of the many booths; it’s going to be an absolute blast.

Ne-Yo & Akon

This summer, these two artists will be collaborating again to go on an insane global tour, the Nights Like This Tour 2026. They will be hitting stops like London, Paris, Atlanta, and most importantly, they will be coming to Edmonton this June. I absolutely can’t wait for this throwback of the century.
