Sit, stand or dance? Here’s what you need to know before going to Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’ movie

After much anticipation, the ‘Taylor Swift: The Era’s Tour‘ concert movie has hit theatres, and for super fans unable to get tickets to any of her live shows, this might be the biggest event of the year.

Shown across Canada, ‘The Eras Tour’ movie will give audiences a front-row seat to the singer’s greatest hits, deep cuts and fan favourites as well as colourful visuals and callbacks to her career through the years.

Now, while you may have purchased tickets through Cineplex or Landmark just as you would have before any other film, this experience will be a tad different – so there are some things worth noting before checking it out.

First, guest will be encouraged to dress up and like at the stadiums, can trade friendship bracelets if they feel so inclined.

Collectable cups and bowls will also be available while supplies last, so come early and be prepared!

Also, theatres will be busy. Those bringing their little ones (and easily distracted friends) are encouraged to keep an extra close eye on them before and after their showtime.

Lastly, and most importantly, YES you can sing, chant and dance along to the show – within reason.

“This is going to be a dynamic event, but we’re asking guests to please not stand on seats or block the screen for other viewers,” Cineplex told Curiocity in an email.

“As always, filming is not permitted in any of the auditoriums, but we welcome Swiftie selfies!”

Please, be mindful of others and use your best judgement! This is a celebration for ALL and can be an absolute blast without becoming disrespectful.

Stay safe, read the room, and live out your wildest dreams.

We know all too well that you’ve been waiting for this!

‘Taylor Swift: The Era’s Tour‘ is in theatres now.
