Toronto bars you should go to depending on your Taylor Swift era

We’re taking Taylor Swift in Toronto to the next level. If you’re gearing up for Swifty-mania in the city, what better way to do so than with a Taylor bar hop? We’ve taken each Taylor Swift era and assigned a Toronto bar that matches its vibe so you can sip a drink and picture yourself in your very favourite era.
The Eras Tour will take over Toronto for six shows on November 14th, 15th, 16th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd. If you don’t have tickets, the next best thing is to immerse yourself in your preferred time and album.
Let’s go, Swifties!
Taylor Swift Era / Dakota Tavern
Just like Taylor’s debut album, this bar has been around as long as any of us can remember.
It’s a true throwback and country music is still alive and well here.
Where: 249 Ossington Ave
Fearless / Paris Texas
We went with an aesthetic country bar for Fearless.
The album has a country music feel with glittery, fun, breezy vibes, just like this new hot spot on King West.
Where: Paris Texas, 461 King St W
Speak Now / Bar Reyna
The purple accents and floral decor are giving Speak Now.
This Yorkville cocktail bar has been around for a while, just like the album, and the vibes match the feel and sounds of classics like “Enchanted” and “Sparks Fly”.
Where: 158 Cumberland St
Red / Library Bar
Library Bar is inside the Fairmont Royal York, a spot with red accents and an old classic feel.
From the decor to the timeless vibes, you’ll know “All Too Well” just how perfect this spot is.
Where: 100 Front St W
1989 / Public Gardens
This brand-new restaurant/bar features a rooftop bar with New York City ambiance, the perfect pairing with 1989.
“Welcome to New York” (Toronto), it’s been waiting for you!
Grab one of their happy hour $20 cocktail pitchers and you’ll be ready to “Shake it Off”.
Where: 577 King St W
Reputation / Vatican Gift Shop
This bar has a big “Reputation” for being one of the east end’s best bars.
Vatican Gift Shop has dark, gothic tones, great food and live music. “Don’t Blame Me” if you end up here all night.
Where: 1047 Gerrard St E
Lover / Le Tigre

We can’t think of a better match for Lover than Le Tigre – Toronto’s pink cocktail bar.
Sip on martinis, let your hair down and bask in the pink “Afterglow” of this amazing spot.
Where: 1060 Yonge St, Second Floor
Folklore & Evermore / Bar Raval
The warm tones, the moody ambiance, and the woodland interior can only mean one thing: Folklore and Evermore.
These albums go hand in hand with a bar like Bar Raval and it helps that it’s known for having some of the best cocktails in Toronto.
Where: 505 College St
Midnights / Compton Ave
Dark, yet vibrant, vintage and cool. I’m a “Mastermind” for pairing this album and bar together.
Compton Ave is a place where you can have fun with your friends while feeling moody and a little rebellious.
Where: 1282 Dundas St W
The Tortured Poets Department / Writers Room Bar
With a name like Writers Room, this was a pretty obvious match.
Upon entering this stunning bar, you’ll feel all the feels Taylor’s latest album brings: nostalgic, raw and cathartic.
Where: 4 Avenue Rd
