McRae, originally from Calgary, will perform during the second intermission at the All-Star Game on Saturday, February 3rd. If you don’t have tickets to the actual game you can still catch the show with the headlining performance scheduled to be broadcast on Sportsnet, CBC and TVA Sports in Canada.

McRae has more than one job this All-Star Game though – she is also serving as a celebrity captain for Team McKinnon, which will be captained by Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan McKinnon. Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar will serve as assistant captain.

The singer is one of four celebrity captains named for the NHL All-Star Game.

Among her is Justin Bieber with Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews as captain and Morgan Rielly as assistant captain, Toronto-born actor Will Arnett with Edmonton Oilers centre Connor McDavid as captain and Oilers centre Leon Draisaitl as his assistant.

Finally, Grammy Award-winning Canadian musician Michael Bublé will join Team Hughes led by New Jersey Devils centre Jack Hughes and his brother as assistant, Vancouver Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes.

At just 20 years old, McRae has over 7.8 billion career streams, over 945 million video views, and two #1 Top 40 hits making her a great choice for headliner at this year’s All-Star event.

We can’t wait to watch Tate McRae take centre ice!
