In a feature called “Tate McRae’s Calgary Spots,” she shared with Apple Maps the places she loves in her home city. And here are a few of them!

Seed N Salt: According to McRae, this is the “perfect place to pick up a salad, have lunch with your friends, grab a kombucha or just have a smoothie after a workout! Definitely one of my faves! You cannot go wrong with the Kale Caesar salad!”

And lucky for you, they have two locations, and a new one opening this summer!

Barry’s: You either love it, or hate it. But Tate clearly loves it! “During the class we want it to end but it feels so good after ! Definitely one of the hardest workouts I’ve ever done. Love going with my dance friends. Our favourite part is the smoothie bar after,” she shared.

Esme Beauty BoutiqueAccording to McRae, this was her go to spa growing up. She shouts out the coconut popcorn, and says that this is the spot in the city if you need pampering.

Earls Kitchen + Bar: In her own words, “Good old Earls.” Tate calls this a “definite Canadian spot,” and adds that it is “Easy, casual, great food and always lively! Have been here many nights with my girlfriends- celebrating bdays, just catching up or just sharing a desert! So many memories on the patio in the summertime.”

GretaAnother restaurant on her list is Greta Bar, which she said she first visited while underage for a magazine photo shoot. “When I turned 18 of course I had to go! It is just a fun place to hang with a group of friends! The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is great,” she said.

Chairman’s Steakhouse: Tate calls this spot “the best steakhouse in Calgary.” Enough said!

Calgary Stampede: “This is a general location- but so many fun things happen on the Stampede Grounds,” she shared. “First the Flames play at the Saddledome- who does not like a good hockey game?… As well the Grounds are home to the famous Calgary Stampede- which is a 10 day party that you need to attend to understand. The city turns cowboy, there’s live country music everywhere, and it’s like a never ending party with everybody.”

You can catch Tate McRae at the 2024 Cowboys Music Festival next month! And the full list of her selected spots in Calgary can be found on Apple Maps.
