According to Taste of The Middle East’s website, the mission for the festival is “To increase access for the Canadian Arab communities to opportunities where they can participate and feel a sense of belonging and to present, showcase and celebrate Arabic Music, Art and Culture in Canada.”
Taste of The Middle East will be held from March 1st – 3rd, 2024 at the Mississauga Convention Centre and will feature three days of festivities.
On Friday the festival will be open from 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM on Saturday and 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Sunday.
Day one of the festival is called We Love Eqypt, day two is named We Love Palestine and day three, We Love Iraq, celebrating each country, it’s culture, food, music and art.
A few of the weekend’s festivities include a Ma’amoul-making workshop with Chef Suzanne Husseini, various food, clothing and gift vendors, and live musical performances.
If you want to do more than just attend, there are still spots available for vendors. Taste of the Middle East encourages anyone who would like to be a vendor this year to sign up under “book a booth” on the contact form here.
Don’t forget to grab tickets before they sell out. Single tickets start at $6.32 per child under 12, 8.72 for adults and can be purchased here.
