The sun is shining and temperatures are on the rise. Summer 2025 is just around the corner, and in Wild Rose Country, there will be no shortage of exciting things to see and do — especially if you need to cool off.
From swimming holes to outdoor pools, there are a ton of exciting places to beat the heat in Alberta, but the Sylvan Lake Aqua Splash park is among the most fun.
Located halfway between Calgary and Edmonton, this one-of-a-kind destination is the place for sizzling days when the air conditioning just doesn’t cut it.
With a 15-foot tower, climbing walls, a giant slide, a trampoline, a trapeze swing, a launch bag, and a 120-foot sleeper walkway, the Aqua Splash park has so much to see and even more ways to enjoy yourself.
If you’re among the many who can’t wait to check it out, we’ve got great news.
It won’t be long until the park is reopened for the season, but there are a few things of note.
Come June 28, when it’s finally inflated for the year, safety will be of the utmost importance.
All visitors must be over 3 feet and 6 inches tall, and kids between the ages of 6 and 8 years old must be playing with an adult, plus everyone must sign a waiver and will have to wear a lifejacket for the duration of their visit.
Luckily, the park will get you fitted for one before you swim out.

Full-day passes for all ages cost $40 per person, but half-day passes are also available for $29, in addition to one-hour tickets, which are just $18.
This year, the park will stay open until Sept. 1 between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m., depending on the weather.
