Though it is an all-season destination, it’s a must-visit in the fall.

From the white quartzite of the La Cloche Mountains to its pink granite ridges and the bluest of lakes, you’ll witness a full spectrum of colours throughout the year.

And that’s not to mention its stunning display of fall’s panorama that captivates the landscape.

So that being said, the best way to truly embrace the season is to explore its surroundings. That means you’ll have to pay a visit to one of Ontario’s most treasured parks – Killarney Provincial Park.

Embark along The Crack Trail to explore the La Cloche Mountains’ white quartzite ridges. According to Destination Ontario, it’s a difficult hike that can take up to 10 days to complete. But along the way, you’ll see some of the most captivating views.

The white cliffs of the La Cloche Mountains will surround you as you “ascend through the cascade of huge tumbled boulders” of what is known as ”The Crack”.

French River Provincial Park is also found within its boundaries. Explore its many hiking trails and check out the cottages scattered around various lakes and rivers, occupied by hundreds of seasonal residents.

Killarney is also a thriving destination for campers, eco-tourists, and adventurers eager to hike, canoe, and kayak.

Though it’s about a five-hours drive from Toronto, it’s worth the road trip.
