Oh, Canada!

If celebrating our nation with a STAT holiday wasn’t exciting enough for you, Surrey is throwing one of the largest Canada Day events in Western Canada.

Returning to Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre on Monday, July 1st, Surrey Canada Day, presented by Prospera Credit Union, is a free experience packed with live entertainment, games, food, and more.

This all-day affair starts at 10 AM to 10:30 PM and has a stacked lineup of homegrown talent scheduled to perform, including The Sheepdogs, Sass Jordan and Don Amero.

A key feature of the event will be the Indigenous Village, which showcases Indigenous culture through sharing, dance, and contemporary music performances at the Siam Stage, the 30-foot Teepee, and the Indigenous marketplace — where you can support Indigenous artisans and small businesses.

Back this year, and better than ever, Shooting Star Amusements will be setting up fan-favourite rides like the Zipper, the Spider, the Sizzler, Zero Gravity, and more. Don’t miss out, as the rides close before 10:15 PM, and that includes hopping around in the best Bouncy Castles around!

Kids will also have a blast with family-friendly programming, including the all-ages performances on the Kid’s Stage, fun activities at the Downtown Surrey BIA kid’s craft zone, and taking a trip through Toddler Town.

Don’t forget to shine up those dancing shoes once you enter the Community Hub presented by Chalo Fresh Co. to take in the dance performances, lessons, DJ sets, and even some dance battles!

With so much to do, you’re bound to work up an appetite. So take a bite out of some of the delicious food trucks available, with options available for those of you who eat vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free. Those 19 and over can also sip on some amazing craft beer, wine, ciders, and coolers at The Tavern presented by 604 Now.
