This farm near Toronto is having a sunflower field festival right now

It’s sunflower season here in Ontario and this farm has transformed its golden fields into a whole festival experience! The Sunflower Experience at Pingle’s Farm will span over three weekends starting today — Friday, August 5!

In addition to strolling among 6.5 acres of over 100,000 gorgeous sunflowers, you’ll get to enjoy the sounds of live music, tasty eats and sips, wagon rides, a kids’ play land, and photo ops galore.

There’s also an apple orchard and a brand new wildflower field where you can pick your own bouquet, and an on-site farmer’s market selling all kinds of local and freshly-made goodies.

The winding sunflower trail is, of course, the main attraction. The trail takes anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes to complete and features many sunflower varieties that grow anywhere from 5 to 10 feet tall!

Some of the varieties you can expect to see include Giants, Dwarf Teddies, Ring of Fire, Starburst, Branching Yellows, Jokers, and Sun Brights, according to Pingle’s website.

There are tons of stations to snap the perfect photo, with props like the famous giant swig, a red velvet couch, bathtub, sunny yellow doors, vintage tractors, hanging photo frames, and more. And you can’t go home without cutting a few blooms for the memories.

Also new to the festival this year are “pupflower tickets” which allow you to bring your dog along for the fun. There’s also a bar open all weekend long during the festival, and new sunset timeslots you can book to take those perfect golden hour photos without the crowds.

You don’t have to travel very far to this gorgeous spot either. It’s less than an hour’s drive from downtown Toronto.

Grab that sunhat and your best pals for this quintessential Ontario summer experience.
