One of Toronto’s most popular food events is back this summer! Summerlicious will be returning this August, offering Torontonians a way to celebrate the city’s diverse culinary scene with set menus and price points.

According to the City of Toronto, after being cancelled in 20202 and 2021, Summerlicious is returning this summer from August 12 to 28.

The City said that this year’s Summerlicious “program aims to support the recovery and revival of Toronto’s restaurant scene while providing the enticing experiences and delectable food that restaurant-goers have come to expect from the popular Summerlicious program.”

Based on feedback from the industry, the City has made changes to Summerlicious this year to make it easier for restaurants to participate, including: the new time (in August), no fees for participating restaurants, more flexibility with the set menu and price points, and a simplified online application.

“I am delighted that Summerlicious – a favourite amongst foodies in the city – will return in August,” said Mayor John Tory in a release. “With incredible restaurants across Toronto and diverse cuisine options to choose from, there’s something for everyone. I encourage Toronto residents to continue supporting and celebrating the revival of Toronto restaurants by safely joining friends and dining in locally to sample the diverse culinary offerings Toronto restaurants have to offer.”

More info on participating restaurants will be coming later this summer, and we’ll keep you posted!
