It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over, but there’s still time to squeeze in a few more nights outdoors before Calgary fully settles into fall. The Sam Centre is hosting a Summer Sendoff party with live music, roller skating, food trucks, beauty pop-ups, and other activities throughout the evening.

The celebration is free and open to all ages, and it’s taking over both Enbridge Plaza and the Sam Centre.

Here’s everything you’ll find when you get there.

What to expect at the Summer Send-Off

What can I do at the Summer Sendoff?

According to organizers, the Summer Sendoff will take over Enbridge Plaza and the Sam Centre with live music, food, drinks and family-friendly activities.

Biggies Roller Rink will host a pop-up outdoor roller rink where you can lace up a pair of skates and hit the floor. Skate rentals are free, and instructors will be around to help if you need a few pointers.

If you want to get moving before the party gets started, Junction 9 will host a free yoga and Pilates class at the Riverfront BMO Amphitheatre from 4 to 5 p.m.

There will also be a mini local makers’ market showcasing local vendors, and For The Love of Nailz will offer on-site nail decoration, while Pony Hair Extensions will offer hair extension services.

And if you’re looking for a more permanent reminder of the night, Luxe Lines by Sylvie will debut its new luxury tattoo trailer at the event.

When is the Summer Sendoff?

The Summer Sendoff is happening on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, from 4 to 9 p.m. If you’re planning to skate, the roller rink will be open for the entire event, while the yoga and Pilates class will run from 4 to 5 p.m. The live music lineup changes every hour, and DJ Joash Charles will close out the night from 8 to 9 p.m.

Where is it happening?

The party will be hosted at Enbridge Plaza and the Sam Centre at Stampede Park in southeast Calgary. Complimentary parking will be available west of the Sam Centre on 12th Avenue and 5A Street. If you’re planning on taking transit, the Victoria Park/Stampede CTrain Station is nearby.

Will food and drinks be available?

And if all those activities have you working up an appetite, several food trucks will be on-site, including the Maisie Eatery Food Truck, Taco Bar by Bar Milpa, and Tubby’s.

You can also grab a drink from the outdoor bars, including Bar Station by Last Best Brew and Distilling and a Kombucha Bar by Bacteria Bar, both serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic options for purchase.

What performances can I catch at the event?

Live music will play from start to finish, and each hour a different performer or DJ will take over the stage.

Here’s a look at the lineup for the evening:

  • 4 to 5 p.m.: Beehive Presents Brunch Club ft. DJ Jay Smylski
  • 5 to 6 p.m.: Zenon+
  • 6 to 7 p.m.: Jared Daniel ft. Tayo
