A free outdoor concert series kicks off in Vancouver this week and it runs all summer

With the return of celebrated annual events like Italian Day on the Drive and Khatsahlano, Vancouver is buzzing with anticipation for summer. As if we needed another reason to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather — the Mount Pleasant Business Improvement Association has officially announced this year’s Summer Pop-up Concert Series.

Bringing together beloved local artists for weekly concerts and drag shows, the series pops up at the public plaza on Main Street and East 14th Avenue every Wednesday starting Wednesday, June 4, 2025, and every Thursday at the plaza on Main Street and East 21st Avenue.

Both pop-ups take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., perfect for the after-work or school crowd. And who says an evening of live entertainment doesn’t call for a patio beverage or snack while you’re at it?

The free series provides a platform for local Vancouver musicians and talent to showcase their art, continuing throughout the summer months.

Below is the concert schedule for June:

  • Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 14th Plaza – SIESKI
  • Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 21st Plaza – Fourtones presented with Moar Music
  • Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 14th Plaza – Dust Cwaine
  • Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 21st Plaza – Fox Hop Quartet
  • Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 14th Plaza – Lesley Branton Trio

  • Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 14th Plaza – The O’Neills
  • Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 21st Plaza – Stephen Hamm: Theremin Man and Luke Requena
