Here are all of the statutory holidays in Alberta for 2023

If you’re among the many who are looking to plan a camping trip or just love that “time and a half” pay, it’s important to take note of the upcoming stat holidays in Alberta – after all your staycations won’t book themselves!

Here are all of the stat holidays Alberta can look forward to in 2023:

  • New Year’s Day: Sunday, January 1, 2023
  • Family Day: Monday, February 20, 2023
  • Good Friday: Friday, April 7, 2023
  • Victoria Day: Monday, May 22, 2023
  • Canada Day: Saturday, July 1, 2023
  • Labour Day: Monday, September 4, 2023
  • Thanksgiving: Monday, October 9, 2023
  • Remembrance Day: Saturday, November 11, 2023
  • Christmas Day: Monday, December 25, 2023

In addition, some will also be getting other days such as Easter Monday (April 10th), Heritage Day (August 7th), National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (September 30th) and Boxing Day (December 26th) off as well.

Just be sure to check with your employer before deleting your morning alarm!
