We’ve said it a million times, coffee and Seattle go together like PB & J, with Starbucks being our city’s most prominent player in the coffee industry. Now, said company is suggesting a brand new coffee combination and “ritual” that is let’s say, unique. Introducing Starbucks Oleato, a brand new olive oil and coffee blend.

Yes, you read that correctly. Starbucks unveiled the new drink at its Roastery in Milan and the drinks are available in Starbucks Italy stores. What’s more, they will launch in select markets worldwide over the coming year.

You’re probably curious about what an olive oil and coffee combo looks like. According to the brand, Oleato will bring together Starbucks arabica coffee deliciously infused with a spoonful of Partanna cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil.

Now don’t worry, it’s not your everyday olive oil, Partanna has been specially created and formulated to blend with coffee.

The drink menu will include the following. The Oleato™ Caffè Latte, Oleato™ Iced Shaken Espresso, and Oleato™ Golden Foam™ Cold Brew.

If you happen to be going to Milan anytime soon, the Reserve Roastery in Milan will also debut five beverages to customers including the Oleato™ Caffè Latte, Oleato™ Iced Cortado, Oleato™ Golden Foam™ Cold Brew, Oleato™ Deconstructed and Oleato™ Golden Foam™ Espresso Martini.

The first American market to experience the beverage will be Southern California this spring.

It’s worth noting that in select markets, customers will also be able to add a press as a customization to select beverages, which is the equivalent of a spoonful of Partanna.

Would you try it?
