St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and Calgary has plenty of ways to celebrate.
From pub parties and live entertainment to themed events happening across the city, there’s no shortage of ways to join in on the fun.
So grab your friends, wear your green and get ready to celebrate. Here are some of the events happening around Calgary this year.
The Calgary Roughnecks’ St. Patrick’s Day game is back!
The team will take on their rivals, the Ottawa Black Bears, at 7 p.m., with Greta Gardens kicking off the pre-game, and a halftime performance by Low Tide.
The post-game party will feature green beer, excited fans, and non-stop energy, making this the perfect way to spend St. Patty’s Day.

You can join over 500 runners in the city’s first big race of the year.
The St. Patrick’s Day Road Race was created by the Calgary Roadrunners 39 years ago as a way to test your fitness level during the winter.
Run the 5K or the 10K, and celebrate with a hot meal and a finisher medal.

Head over to the Irish Cultural Society of Calgary for their St. Patrick’s Day open house.
Doors open at 3 p.m., and throughout the night, there will be live entertainment on two floors and Irish treats.

James Joyce Pub is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day weekend festival where you can enjoy a full menu of Irish drinks and snacks as well as live music.
