This Calgary spot is transforming into an enchanted forest with Santa meet-and-greets

Are you looking to experience some holiday enchantment this season?
Or maybe you’ve got a little one who can’t wait to meet the jolly Saint Nick for real, and in person.
Southcentre Mall has you covered with the Enchanted Forest, a whimsical and heartwarming holiday experience.
It’s an annual event where you can meet and take pictures with Santa and decorate holiday treats in the Cookie Kitchen next door.
If you’ve got a gift to wrap, Southcentre will also have some busy elves to help you turn it into something fabulous at the mall’s north entrance.
What to expect
The Enchanted Forest is a magical holiday installation in Southcentre Mall happening from Nov. 14 to Dec. 24, 2025.
It’s a beloved Calgary tradition, with whimsical and thoughtful decor that will take you on a journey through an interactive forest to meet Santa Claus.
You can reserve photo sessions with Santa for your loved ones or select a special photo package for your furry friends.
Next to the Enchanted Forest, you can also take part in cookie-decorating activities in exchange for a donation to Made by Momma, which helps support local families.
Santa’s Reading Nook also offers children’s books to borrow, donate, and share, along with festive tales and cozy moments.
Starting Dec. 1, you can also access a holiday gift-wrapping station at the north entrance, where skilled volunteers will turn your gifts into beautifully wrapped masterpieces — all in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
This is definitely one of Calgary’s favourite holiday traditions. It’s affordable, family-friendly, and filled with Christmas magic.
You have until Christmas Eve to meet Santa this year and pose for a few photos. Let us know how it goes!
