Seattle is getting a free & cozy autumnal celebration at South Lake Union

Fall is here! And if you weren’t already excited for chunky scarves and cozy sweaters, one of Seattle’s most iconic neighborhoods, South Lake Union, will give you your reason for the season.

The Fall for SLU Celebration will be taking place at Day 1 Playfield and Nitro Plaza in South Lake Union from Saturday, October 19th until Sunday, October 20th from 11 am to 2 pm.

Featuring an array of family-friendly fall activities, this free event is the ideal way to celebrate everything you love about fall.

Fun things to explore

You can start your fall festivities by heading to the SLU-pick pumpkin patch, where you can pick up your free pumpkin before getting lost in the corn maze.

The event will have a small market where you can peruse a wide variety of vendors offering seasonal goodies. You can also snap a pic of the occasion with several of the fall-themed photo ops for some cozy autumn vibes.

There’ll also be free cider and fresh fruit from local non-profit FareStart while supplies last and a live DJ spinning beats all afternoon long.

This event is completely free to attend and anyone can join in on the festivities. Whether it’s a fun family outing or you’re looking to spend a weekend with friends and neighbors, you can enjoy fall in style.

After you’ve fallen in love with the season, you can also check out all of SLU’s other fall events through their website, or register for bi-weekly updates to get the latest news on the hottest neighborhood events.

So time to get into the pumpkin-spiced mindset and mark your calendars for the Fall for SLU Celebration!
