Another Toronto restaurant is heading down south and expanding its operations to sunny Florida. The highly beloved Italian restaurant, Sofia will open its second location right in Miami’s Design District.
As part of the lifestyle hospitality group, INK Entertainment’s “rapid expansion plans throughout the U.S.,” the restaurant will officially open its doors in Miami later this fall.
“We couldn’t be more excited to expand our footprint in South Florida, bringing Sofia to what we feel is one of the most significant areas and desirable culinary destinations in Miami,” said Charles Khabouth, Founder and CEO of INK Entertainment Group.
“Full of energy and mischievous curiosity, Sofia Design District will be the perfect complement to the Miami Design District neighborhood as Palm Court’s newest signature restaurant.”

Guests can expect new Italian dishes with a nostalgic touch curated by Executive Chef Daniel Roy. The menu will feature a selection of antipasti including, Prosciutto, Carpaccio, Grilled Octopus, Citrus Salads, Ricotta Stuffed Zucchini, and a variety of Crudo.
As for its fresh, handmade pasta dishes, expect Cacio e Pepe al Tartufo, Rigatoni Alla Vodka, and Ravioli di Ricotta e Noci, just to name a few. Dinner is nothing without the perfect drink to pair. Its cocktail program features a combination of signature drinks with an Italian touch.
“Expertly crafted cocktails are enhanced by regionally sourced herbs and flavor-focused ingredients, with a notable emphasis on execution and elegant presentation,” according to Sofia. The cocktails serve as tributes to Italy’s geography and pop culture history, along with its wine selection from vintage to authentic choices.
Not only will this be a must-try dining destination, as it is located within the Miami Design District, it will feature nightly DJs, live entertainment, and musical performances.
Once Sofia Miami opens, it will welcome guests seven days a week for dinner starting at 5 PM, including brunch and lunch to launch in the next few weeks.
