Get comfortable, Alberta, because a snowfall warning has been issued and getting your car from point A to point B this week could be a pain in the butt.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, most of Southern Alberta and cities along the northern provincial border could see a total of 15-30 centimetres by the end of today, Tuesday, February 21st.

“Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions,” the ECCC says on their website.
“Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow.”
Other destinations, however, including Lethbridge, Cardston, Fort Macleod, Medicine Hat, Waterton, Taber and Crowsnest Pass (to name a few), should just stay put if they can help it.
While major cities will still see their fair share of snow, those listed above are in for stormier conditions, where visibility could be zero at varying points of the day.
Luckily, across the board, the snow should “taper off” by tonight so just hang in there and if, for any reason, you need to leave your house, please be safe, smart and patient!
This snowfall warning is no joke, Alberta! It might be a work-from-home, Netflix and chill kind of day.
