The Sled Island music festival is returning to Calgary & they want YOU to take the stage

Though it may feel it’ll be a lifetime until we see green grass and blue sky again, summertime isn’t all that far off and now is as good a time as ever to start planning ahead! The first thing on our calendar for this upcoming sunny season? The Sled Island Music Festival, which will return to Calgary this June.

While there’s no word on a lineup just yet, this major announcement does come with a silver lining, especially if you’re a musician or comedian.

Between now and February 4th, 2022, the folks at Sled Island will be recruiting people to be part of their event, not as a fan – but as one of their many artists.

If you’re interested in taking the stage, which has seen a catalogue of popular artists such as Feist, Jack Harlow, The Flaming Lips, St. Vincent and Julian Baker, you can apply on their website here – and probably do it soon! We can only imagine how jam-packed their submission box will get over the next couple of weeks.

As for the rest of you, who either aren’t musically inclined or just not ready to showcase your talents – more announcements are expected to be made soon, so stay tuned.

Who knows what will happen this year!
