ICYMI, the RED mile has been hosting a 7-week long (Jan 7 – Feb 28) Singles’ Fest filled with fun events for all ages 18+, genders and orientations. They rightly called it ‘Get Off the Apps and Onto the Ave’ event calendar and brought back the good ol’ dating IRL.
And in case Hollywood (and couples around you) had you convinced that being single on Valentine’s Day was kind of a drab- they’re here to change that and make sure it’s anything but boring.
Whether you are looking for a special someone, hoping to spend an evening out with the gals or simply want in on the action, 17th Ave is the place to be all month long. From singles’ mixers to drag trivia and everything in between, here are 10 events every YYC single needs to check out RN.
We always appreciate the classics. And what’s more classic than mingling over a cuppa jo or a crisp cocktail, eh?
t’s chocolate. And it’s beer. Guess it’s safe to assume, we’re all going to be here, date or no date.
Here’s one for the fitness fanatics. Move has brought together the two things you need to light up your month- spinning and mingling.
A table full of mimosas, a hearty meal and a lively performance by Angelina Starchild and gang. Brunches could hardly get better than this!
It might not have the sensual vibe Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore’s pottery did, but you sure as hell will be LOLing while blindly drawing your partner.
The only thing better than bonding over a macaroon bake session is enjoying these sweet delights with tea and, of course, your date.
TBH single or not, a Galentine’s day should basically be mandatory. Especially when it consists of non-stop dancing and non-stop cocktails.
For a perfect end to a perfect night!
YYC’s new hot-spot always shows us a good time, so we can’t think of a better reason to grab our wing person for a night of wings & drinks.
Hosted by Drag artist Natasha Brite, this fun game night is your chance to meet someone new and show off your knowledge.
That was our list. But there are plenty more things to do on 17th Ave all month long. You can check out their events calendar here.
