A popular Vancouver-based restaurant and bar has its eyes set on Toronto and will be opening in the Financial District this summer.

Hospitality group Freehouse Collective has announced it will be opening Sing Sing Beer Bar in the First Canadian Place at 77 Adelaide Street W.

The bar and restaurant is known for their pizza, pho, and beer in Vancouver. They specialize in local craft beer and cocktails along with pho, pizza, and more.

From Kimchi Grilled Cheese, to bowls like its Katsu Chicken Kale and Greens, their menu is not one to mess with. And you can expect to find these eats once it opens in Toronto.

According to the group, the space they have taken over was once held by “popular watering hole” The Duke of Westminster. It will be fully reimagined with new interior design, food, and drink programs, “while maintaining the
publican spirit of its history.”

“Sing Sing has become a West Coast staple in a few short years, it’s sure to surprise the Adelaide crowds with something pretty different,” said Scott Rowe, who leads business development at Freehouse.

“On one hand it’s this beautifully austere design and on the other, a wildly comforting and lively setting with nostalgic music, sports programming, and hospitality with an edge.”

The multi-floor space will feature two bars, a private dining room, and a terrace, perfect for groups and corporate events.

As for when it’ll open, the group plans to welcome guests at their Toronto location in July 2023.

We can’t wait for this one!
