Looking to add a sprinkle of magic to your next trip to the mountains? Look no further than Silverton Falls, an enchanting spot a half hour away from one of Alberta’s favourite tourist destinations.

Described as “short and sweet” by Banff and Lake Louise Tourism, those looking to reach the stunning viewpoint will first have to take a 2 km (round trip) hike on a quiet trail in the Castle Junction.

Want to check it out? Silverton Falls shares an entryway with the more popular Rockbound Lake Trail. You’ll find a sign about 300 metres into the hike to turn right for the falls.

Your hike will begin with a stroll through the forest then you’ll reach a few steep switchbacks, but it’ll be worth it!

Awaiting you and your camera will be a 50-metre, two-tier waterfall with very few visitors.

Take a breather, enjoy a snack and wind down.

No, it’s not the biggest in the province, but it is awfully pretty and pretty darn relaxing.

Take photos and enjoy, Alberta! There’s nothing better than a fresh summer air.
