Fans of rolling the dice (figuratively and literally) are in for a treat next month. A massive three-day board game festival is coming to the Vancouver Convention Centre, and there will be a wide range of interactive gaming options.

What can folks expect at one of the largest gaming events in the country? Well, over 2,000 game titles in their game library, for starters. And a ton of live performances, workshops, and podcasts to add to the mix.

And if you come alone – don’t think you’ll be stuck on the sidelines! Shut up & Sit Down will feature several social games (up to 20 people working on one game) that invite guests to mix and mingle. In fact, the event’s website says that many people opt to come on their own and try out new games and meet new friends in the process!

Tickets are just about $200 each for all three days and include access to all the games in the main games room, live panels and social games, and over 50 publishers and exhibitors. Note that live events have a room capacity limit and will operate on a first-come-first-serve basis.
