Well folks it’s been an eventful past few weeks for Shoreline’s new spot Black Coffee Northwest. After an arson fire at the end of September, this new cafe is finally open. And, this coffee shop is certainly more than meets the eye.
That’s because this new coffee shop has a community and social justice focus. So beyond coffee, they are planning on rolling out several youth programs. And just a few include a barista training program, an after-school study hour, and more!

But when it comes to coffee you can find a whole host of roasts from the Black-owned Renton company Boona Boona. And we recommend checking out the menu because it truly has some of the best drink names we’ve ever seen. Not to mention, you can also grab some tasty treats from Zuri’s Donutz and Salmonberry.
And if you’re planning on heading over to Shoreline or live in the area, we highly recommend that you stop by and show them some love. Because we’ll be doing so as well!
