Shambhala set to return to BC this summer after two year hiatus

We’ll admit that the lineup announcement for Osheaga immediately got us thinking about some of Canada’s other bucket-list music festivals. So, it’s nice to know that not only is Shambhala Music Festival returning to BC for 2022, but that ticket sales are just around the corner!

Considered one of the best EDM music festivals in North America, Shambhala offers a forested oasis for up-and-comers as well as the biggest artists around. Past lineups have included everyone from Beardyman to Clams Casino to Kaskade. But honestly, the fest is renowned for its ability to get incredible talent from around the world, no matter the star power attached to it.

This year, Shambhala is returning to its iconic location, the Salmo River Ranch, which is 12km away from the nearest town and surrounded by incredible forests and farmland. The festival will take place in July, from the 22nd to the 25th.

And, we’re just days away from tickets being released! According to recent posts, the music festival is almost ready to sell the remaining 30% of the available tickets for this year, as some 70% have been slated towards people who had 2020 tickets. But, we like those odds, especially because the fest was so popular pre-pandemic that tickets were doled out via lottery system.

Our advice? If you’re thinking of going, then definitely follow the festival on Instagram and turn post notifications on. Maybe hit up a few friends about it, too.

Shambhala 2022

When: July 22nd to 25th, 2022
Where: Salmo River Ranch
Cost: $495 for early-bird access, ticket release TBA
