Savour the summer feels at these Toronto festivals & markets this September

Summer, we’re not letting you slip away just yet. It’s September and that means we only have a few more days left of summer weather. Thankfully Toronto still has a number of festivals and markets taking place before our beloved seasons end.

We’ve compiled a list of what’s left of festivals and markets in Toronto and needless to say, you’re going to be pretty busy this month.

Here’s what to check out

Asianlicious Carnival

Get ready for something delicious! The Asianlicious Carnival is coming to Scarborough, with three days of food, performances and a spectacular fireworks show. The carnival is free to attend and is the perfect way to spend a day with friends or family.

When: September 6th to September 8th, 2024
Where: Woodside Square, 1571 Sandhurst Cir, Scarborough, ON
Cost: Free admission

Ube Wonderland Filipino Market Toronto

The Ube Wonderland Filipino Night Market is happening for three days this September from the 6th to the 8th.

The 2024 festivities will take place outside of Scarborough Town Centre by the Best Buy.

The event is put on by Pinay Tayo Toronto “a dedicated community organization that supports Filipino women small business entrepreneurs in the Greater Toronto Area.

When: September 6th to 8th, 2024 from 2 PM to 10 PM
Where: 500 Progress Ave
Cost: Free

Taste of the Kingsway 2024

Taste of the Kingsway is South Etobicoke’s largest street festival – a weekend of food, music and family entertainment!

Be sure to check out the beverage garden while visiting, too! Local brewer Great Lakes Brewery will be serving up yummy drinks.

Entry is free, so bring the family and have a great time.

When: September 6th to 8th, 2024
Where: Bloor Street West between Prince Edward Dr & Montgomery St
Cost: Free

Whisky Fest 2024

Sip on a variety of whiskies, enjoy live performances and chow down on some smoked BBQ eats at the Whisky Fest.

Check out their dedicated tasting stations and if you find a favourite, take home a bottle from the whisky bottle shop.

Tokens for samples are available for purchase on-site for $1 each.

When: September 6th from 4 PM to 8 PM, September 7th from 2 PM to 8 PM and September 8th from 12 PM to 6 PM
Where: The Distillery District, Pure Spirits Patio & Courtyard
Cost: Free to attend, pay to sample

Taste of the Junction

Get ready and come hungry! Taste of the Junction returns this September with over 20 different vendors participating.

On September 7th from 12 PM to 9 PM, Taste of the Junction will take over 51 Vine Avenue and all are welcome to indulge in mouthwatering foodie creations, drinks and more.

When: September 7 from 12 PM to 9 PM
Where: Jackson Place – 51 Vine Avenue, The Junction, Toronto
Cost: Free

Trinbago Toronto Festival

Infused with the rhythm, flavour and soul of Trinidad and Tobago, this festival is where you’ll want to be for fun, food and celebration.

The food is sure to be mouth-watering and the vibes will be high!

When: September 7th & 8th, 2024
Where: Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen St W
Cost: Free

The Cabbagetown Festival

The highly anticipated street fest will take place all weekend long from September 7th to 8th.

Parliament Street from Gerrard Street to Wellesley Street, and Carlton Street up to Ontario Street will be taken over with local activations, vendors, food offerings, and more.

When: September 7th to 8th, 2024 from 11 AM to late
Where: Parliament Street, Gerrard St to Wellesley St. Carlton Street up to Ontario
Cost: Free

Harbourfront Night Market 

Looking for some fun ideas to close out summer in September? Toronto’s harbourfront will have a two-day night market you’re not going to want to miss out on. The Harbourfront Night Market will feature a lineup of eclectic food trucks, artisanal crafts and more. The best part? Admission is free!

When: September 14th & 15th, 2024
Where: Public Square, 235 Queens Quay West
Cost: Free admission
