Here’s where Seattle sits among 2022’s best and worst cities for vampires

Washington and Seattle as a whole are known for many things, tech, coffee, the usual suspects. However, we’re also known for some more unusual things like sasquatch and UFOS. And while our state isn’t very haunted, it turns out our cities are pretty great places for vampires to lurk.

Lawn Love just released its 2022 list of the best and worst cities for vampires using some unique metrics. Some of these included positives like “cities with plenty of warm bodies, blood centers, and vampire-friendly dwellings” and also negatives like “garlic festivals and sunshine.”

So where does Seattle sit? Well, Seattle didn’t make the top ten best cities for vampires but we did take 13th place, what a lucky number… Our city had an overall score of 34.56 and had a lack of deterrents like sunlight. Other Washington cities ranked as well, like Tacoma in 27th place and Vancouver in 29th place.

While we didn’t make the top ten, our neighbors down south in Portland, Oregon did, coming in 8th place. And because you’re probably curious here are the top ten best cities for vampires.

  1. New York, NY
  2. Chicago, IL
  3. Philadelphia, PA
  4. Los Angeles, CA
  5. San Francisco, CA
  6. Pittsburgh, PA
  7. Omaha, NE
  8. Portland, OR
  9. Madison, WI
