The 66th annual Forbes Travel Guide is out and it has revealed its 2024 Star Awards winners – boasting a list of the world’s most luxurious hotels, restaurants, spas, and cruises. Among them, a few Seattle hotels and a spa have earned the distinctions this year.

According to the Forbes Travel Guide, this year’s list spans more than 2,000 properties worldwide.

“It features 340 Five-Star, 600 Four-Star and 503 Recommended hotels; 78 Five-Star, 121 Four-Star and 59 Recommended restaurants; 126 Five-Star and 201 Four-Star spas; and seven Four-Star and five Recommended cruise ships,” it adds.

In Seattle, this year’s list features five hotels and a spa.

As for how they inspect, according to the Forbes Travel Guide, their inspectors visit every property and evaluate them based on up to 900 objective criteria. They stay for a minimum of two nights at hotels, and pay for them as a typical guest to get the same experience.

For Seattle’s achievements, the Four-Star rating means “these are exceptional properties, offering high levels of service and quality of facility to match.”

And “Recommended” indicates that “these are excellent properties with consistently good service and facilities.”
