Alberta Prarie Railway

From heists to themed nights, The Alberta Prarie Railyway has a little something for almost anyone – especially if you love trees, flowers and wildlife. Aboard a vintage steam train see all that there is to see in and around Stettler from the comfort of your seat.

Once named the country’s most magical train ride – the glass-domed Rocky Mountaineer may be the most expensive on the list, but it’s truly something else. With a variety of routes which includes destinations like Banff, Jasper and Lake Louise, this incredible adventure should be on the bucket list of every wanderlusting Canadian from sea to sea.

Via Rail – Edmonton to Jasper

“Explore Alberta by train!” From sea to sea, Via Rail has several scenic routes across Canada including one from Edmonton to Jasper! With views of mountains, rivers and lakes, this particular trip will take 6 and a half hours, departs twice a week and can cost less than $150 (depending on the day). Aboard this one, you’re truly in for a treat!

Best known for their Train of Terror and Polar Express events, the Aspen Crossing Train treks across Alberta’s Prairies year-round and offers a variety of themed train rides from dinners to mobile parties. They also have a campground where you can stay the night in a caboose, a restaurant, a market and an escape room.
