This Ontario city is going full Halloween mode with glowing pumpkins and escape rooms

Spooky season is starting early in Brantford, Ont., next week as it will transform into a ghostly gathering ground for two days of Halloween fun. Costumes, escape rooms, parades and more. Here’s what you need to know.

About two and a half hours away from Toronto, Brantford, Ont., is channelling Halloweentown vibes this October.

For two nights only, Oct. 3 and 4, 2025, the town will come alive (or dead), with eerie energy and Halloween-themed festivities for all to enjoy.

What to expect

It’s the kind of weekend where you can bounce from creepy to cozy! Families can spend the afternoon trick-or-treating or crafting with Casper before the sun goes down.

Thrill seekers in the midst? Dive headfirst into Paranormal Tours or test their nerves in an escape room after dark.

There will also be costume contests and even a HOWL-o-ween Dog Parade.

Add in the Halloween Roller Skate, glowing pumpkins and scarecrow displays scattered around Harmony Square, and you’ve got yourself a full-on fall festival with a spooky twist.

If you needed an excuse to get out of the city and to wear a costume, you know where to go!

Scare in the Square

When: Oct 3 and 4, 2025
Time: Friday 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday 12 to 10 p.m.
Where: Brantford, Ont.
