Glamping season: You can stay in an oceanfront yurt on Salt Spring Island this summer

For those who enjoy getting out in nature but prefer the comfort of a bed in terms of overnight camping, this luxurious Airbnb yurt is for you. Waterfront views, patio sunsets, fresh farm eggs, floor-to-ceiling windows (we could go on…), this oceanfront yurt on Salt Spring Island is definitely one of the most unique stays we’ve found on Airbnb.

Here’s what to expect if you decide to visit.

The nature:

Tucked away in an ancient cedar grove is the ultimate glamping destination, complete with an ocean backdrop, a fully covered patio, and a lavish, king-sized bed in the middle of the studio space. There’s even a sky dome above the bed where you can look up at the stars and treetops as you rest.

The vibes:

The Trincomali Yurt oozes “romantic getaway.” Think modern, high ceiling beams, airy floor-to-ceiling windows, and accents of driftwood and rock that give the space a charming, earthy feel.

The amenities:

The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the essentials, including a coffee maker.

Warm yourself by the indoor fireplace (wood and firestarters included) after an afternoon of swimming, and enjoy a glass of local wine on their private patio. You can even get a quick hour or two of work in (though we doubt you’ll want to) in their designated workspace.

Have pets you want to bring along for the adventure? No problem! The Trincomali Yurt is not only pet-friendly, but it boasts some amazing private and semi-private rocky beaches for your pooch to explore. No need to worry about pet-sitting for this vacation.

Honestly, we were sold on the very first picture. If this luxurious glamping-style yurt sounds like a good fit, you can look into booking it for the summer here. But note, there aren’t many nights left – it is definitely in demand!

Happy glamping, Vancouver!
