The Met Gala will return to the Metropolitan Museum of Art this May, and Ryan Reynolds has been picked as a co-chair! He’ll be joined by his wife Blake Lively (who’s no stranger to the event, either), and two other larger-than-life names.

Arguably the biggest single night in fashion, the Met Gala is an annual event that sees the who’s who of actors, musicians, and more dress in their proverbial Sunday best. This year’s instalment will build off last year’s, with the theme being “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”.

Is it weird that the Met Gala picked the Canada-born Ryan Reynolds to co-chair? Maybe, but we don’t care. We’re sure that he’s going to be bringing the noise. Now, we can only hope it’ll be a riff on Justin Timberlake’s iconic full-denim look from the early 2000s. But, whether he’s channeling some hippie from the 60s, or a turn of the century cowboy, we’re sure it’ll look amazing.

Reynolds and Lively will be joined by Regina King and Lin Manuel-Miranda as the celebrity co-chairs for this year’s Met Gala. And as always, Tom Ford, Anna Wintour, and Adam Mosseri (the head of Instagram) will be the honorary co-chairs.

The night goes down on May 2nd! We’ll let you know how you can watch it in Canada once we get closer to the day.
