Rupert Grint loads up on comfort food at Toronto bakery amid Netflix filming

Looks like Ron Weasley has a big appetite and a sweet tooth. Rupert Grint and his family paid a visit to the popular Lamanna’s Bakery in Scarborough over the weekend and clearly, they were ready for a feast.

The bakery posted a photo of their staff posing with the celebrity customer, revealing that he ordered shortcake donuts and their signature big slice, which is a 28-inch long and 18-inch wide custom creation that takes a full day to prepare.

Lamanna’s Bakery shared that Grint is part of the cast of a new Netflix horror anthology series being filmed in Toronto called Cabinet of Curiosities.

The series is being directed by Guillermo del Toro, who spent a lot of time in Toronto recently creating the new star-studded film Nightmare Alley.

According to Ontario Creates, the cast and crew will be in town for filming until Valentine’s Day 2022.

Ontario has been teeming with famous faces lately. Just last week, Shawn Mendes was spotted wandering solo around Toronto as he and Camila Cabello announced their breakup. Back in August, Dylan Sprouse paid a visit to a Hamilton-based coffee shop and the owner was more than a little bit surprised.

And with the news of Toronto’s $250 million TV and movie filming district by the waterfront, we can only hope that means more celebrity sightings in the future.
