From interactive exhibits to their unreal tours in and around the Badlands, there’s really no place like Druheller, but the Royal Tyrrell Museum is something else.
In fact, the RTM is so impressive – that it’s bagged not one, not two – but five Guinness World Records for its unique collection of prehistoric items.

Since opening its doors in 1985, the museum has been recognized by the well-known organization for having a collection of discoveries that includes some incredible fossils and even a few bones.
These include the largest marine animal, the best-preserved armoured dinosaur, the fossil with the longest neck ever, the best and most together Tyrannosaur skeleton and (most recently) the most complete archaeological find – a fully intact Ornithomimid.
Of course, a nod from the folks at Guinness is only among their many other newsworthy accomplishments!
The Royal Tyrrell Museum’s researchers have also assisted in finding new species and fossils rarely seen or found by the scientific community.
Here, not only can you see world-renowned pieces, you can also learn, grow and – in the warmer months, take a tour of the surrounding badlands where people have continued to find some incredible things!
Trust us, even if you’ve been before, it’s worth visiting again – especially now that the temperatures have started to dip.
You won’t regret it!
