You can enjoy a rooftop yoga session above the Calgary skyline this summer

Rooftop yoga is coming to downtown Calgary this July, and it might just be the easiest way to romanticize your Saturday morning. Taking place at High Park, this one-hour yoga session brings you up above the city for a simple guided flow with music and plenty of fresh air, giving you an opportunity to slow down, move your body and start your weekend off the right way.

A wellness experience above the city

If you’ve never been to High Park, it’s essentially a giant rooftop green space in Calgary’s Beltline, above a parkade and overlooking the downtown skyline. It’s an open-air spot with plenty of walkways, seating areas, photo installations and space for community events.

At the event, the rooftop space will be set up for a relaxed morning yoga flow led by Erika Blakely. According to organizers, it’s open to all skill levels, so whether you’re brand new or have done it before, you’re welcome to follow along at your own pace. Throughout the session, there will also be music pumping to keep the energy high as you move through the flow.

After the session wraps up, you’ll receive a light post-class treat from Fit Kitchen, including a protein snack and a refreshing beverage. You’ll also get a complimentary $27 drop-in coupon to Hotshop, so you can take the wellness vibe a little further or save it for another day when you need a reset.

What to know before you go

The rooftop yoga session will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., making it an easy way to ease into the weekend while still feeling productive and refreshed. Tickets are priced at $33 per person and include access to the full guided class and post-session refreshments.

If you’re planning to attend, it’s recommended that you arrive at least 15 minutes early to get settled, find a comfortable spot, and roll out your mat before the session begins.

Make sure to bring a yoga mat and a water bottle so you’re set for the full session. Wearing comfortable, breathable clothing is best, since there will be lots of movement. And depending on the weather, you may also want to pack a light layer in case it gets chilly.

So if you’re ready to swap out your usual yoga studio session for sweeping skyline views and some fresh air above the city, this is your chance. Grab your besties, roll out your mat and make a morning out of it!
