Romance doesn’t look the same for everyone. For some, it’s a dreamy patio in the countryside and for others, it’s a seat by the window at a busy spot in the big city. If you’re looking to impress your date this Valentine’s Day but don’t know where to start, these Ontario restaurants made OpenTable’s ranking of the most romantic places to eat in the country for 2022.

The ranking compiled all of the diner reviews over a one-year span and assigned each restaurant an overall score based on overall diner rating, the number of the reviews, and more.

From there, they were scored and sorted based on the percentage of reviews in which “romantic” was selected as a special feature.

While many restaurants across the country made the cut, Ontario is home to the greatest number of Canada’s most romantic restaurants and they are all over the map, from Toronto to Niagara-on-the-Lake to Innisfil and beyond.
