A free indoor roller skating experience is coming to Toronto with a trail & tunnel

Toronto’s Union Station is getting a free, two-month-long roller skating experience and it’s all indoors. And it kicks off this December, here’s what to know.

To keep you entertained this holiday season, Union Station has transformed its newly opened TD West Carriageway into a fun and free roller skating hub – Roller Express.

Strap on those rollerskates and glide across the 5,500 sq ft rink that includes a skating trail, carriageway tunnel, and retro vibe.

Those of all skill levels are welcome to enjoy Roller Express. And if you’re new to this, there will be free skate lessons throughout the duration of the experience.

Though there is a separate skating surface dedicated to learning how to skate, there are scheduled lessons with instructors on Sundays from 3 PM to 5 PM, and Tuesday from 6 PM to 8 PM.

These are first-come, first-serve!

To keep the vibes rollin’, there will be Union Beats DJ skate nights on Fridays, exclusive Beats & Boogie 19+ Skate nights, immersive activities, and activations provided by AriZona. There will also be food and drink options at the Snack Bar courtesy of Amano, Union Chicken, and Wvrst.

Take part in the 19+ events too where adults can mix and mingle.

And to make things even better, there are free skate rentals too. Need some extra protection? There are helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist pads available to rent – for free as well.

What a way to enjoy the holiday season – especially if you don’t have to be outdoors.

Now who’s down to ckate?
