Situated on the traditional territories of both the Squamish and Sechelt Nations, the funky artist community is a beautiful place to add to your Sunshine Coast itinerary this fall.
Surrounded by lush rainforest and mystical beaches, Roberts Creek is the ideal stop between Gibsons and Sechelt, offering visitors a variety of magical fall adventures.
According to Tourism Sunshine Coast, this includes natural and cultural attractions like the Roberts Creek Mandala, the forests of Mount Elphinstone and Dakota Ridge, and the waterfall-lined trails at Cliff Gilker Park.
There’s also a hiking-only provincial park nearby with the same name worth exploring that’s open year-round. Here, you’ll find a scenic cobblestone beach with picnic tables, all surrounded by towering cedars, Douglas firs, and Hemlock trees.
Ready to embark on a waterfall path? Head to the extensive trail network at Cliff Giliker Park, which is popular among hikers, naturists, and photographers alike.
Over seven kilometres in total, the charming trails are covered by a majestic forest canopy, making them ideal come rain or shine. Along the way, you’ll find multiple waterfalls, creeks, boardwalks, and unique wooden bridges to cross.
Note that some of the trails are wheelchair accessible, including the waterfall viewing platform.
