One of the biggest festivals in BC is coming back this summer! Rifflandia will once more take over Victoria at the end of the season, and the lineup has us both excited and confused. Seriously, we’ve got a huge mixed bag of names joining in, from all sorts of genres. Let’s check it out!
For a little context, Rifflandia will be taking place between September 15th and 18th, basically capping off the summer. As for the locations, shows will be split between the Royal Athletic Park and the (still in development) Arts & Innovation District.

Ok, on to the lineup itself. The headliners are relatively straightforward, with Lorde and Charli XCX both set to perform. However, looking a little deeper shows the true diversity on display. Where else are you going to be able to see DJ Diesel (aka Shaquille O’Neal) and Pussy Riot over the same weekend? Or Cypress Hill for one kind of rap fan, and BBNO$ for another? It’s impressive, really.
So, if you’re looking to wrap up the summer with a very unique festival experience, we think Rifflandia is the place to be. Tickets for the festival will be available starting this Friday, May 6th, so hit up your pals sooner rather than later!
