Ontario’s only mountain coaster lets you race through the snow at speeds up to 42 km/h

Don’t let the snow stop you from enjoying a mountain coaster experience this winter. The Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster at Blue Mountain is Ontario’s first and only mountain coaster. Luckily for you, it’s open for the season, and it’s worth the road trip.
You’ll have to embark on a two-hour drive from Toronto toward the Blue Mountains. There’s a lot to do in the area this season, especially Holiday Magic at Blue Mountain Village. Though you’ll most definitely get caught up in all the excitement, don’t skip out on your mountain adventure.

If you’re looking for a thrilling winter experience, this is it. Zoom past breathtaking snowy scenery at top speeds.
The Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster consists of over 100 metres of track that runs throughout the mountain terrain, and you get to control the speed.
You can either glide along 1 km of track and tour the terrain or make it into a thrill ride — going up to 42 km/hr.
“Ridge Runner is a simple, equipment-free favourite among all ages. But be prepared, as this is a fast ride! We’ll keep you on track, but as with most things at Blue, you are the driver,” shares the official site.
To make the experience even more memorable, you’ll get to take home highlight photos and videos of your Ridge Runner adventure through REVL. “Our friendly staff will hand you your REVL card when you disembark the Ridge Runner,” shares the site.
It’s important to note that when heavy snowfall hits the region, this could affect the tracks. This will require the BM team to clear it off before it can be used. We recommend checking the Blue Mountain website daily for updates.
So, adrenaline junkies, are we gonna be seeing you on the hill? It’s a great way to get outdoors and get a little thrill at the same time.
