Here’s when the Richmond Night Market opens this spring

The Richmond Night Market is making a comeback in 2024 as North America’s largest night market, bringing hundreds of delicious street food eats from across the globe together to form one massive night market.

History of the market

Founded 24 years ago by entrepreneur Raymond Cheung, the very first Richmond Night Market was held at Continental Centre on Cambie Road, according to the market’s website.

Flash forward to today, and the market is a must-visit summer attraction, open every weekend from May to October. Guests can indulge in tasty street food and enjoy live music and entertainment.

From candy sticks to boba, to customizable noodles and hot pot — it’s easy to see why the market attracts over one million visitors each year.

While this year’s theme has not yet been announced, we’re sure it’s every bit as delicious and fun as last year’s. The 2023 night market debuted churros and butterbeer, as well as cuisine from Indonesia, Turkey, and Mexico.
