Stock up on your breath mints, Vancouver – because the 12th annual garlic festival in Richmond is back after a three-year hiatus! For more than a decade, the annual tradition has gathered folks from all over metro Van to celebrate all things garlic. In fact, over one thousand pounds of garlic will be for sale, including several varieties grown by the Sharing Farm Society.

As always, the festival is in support of Sharing Farm’s food dignity mandate to grow top-notch, sustainable produce. Admission is by donation and all proceeds from the event will go towards the farm’s mission to help those facing food insecurity.

In addition to pounds and pounds of garlic, guests can expect a slew of exciting live performances, an expanded farmer’s market, and extra ‘garlicy’ food truck eats. Plus, roasted garlic ice cream if you’re up for a taste!

Enjoy live music, attend a garlic growing workshop, or even go on a bird walk or a plant walk. There will be no shortage of fun for all ages and interests at Sharing Farms.
